Learn how to add Themes to your WordPress Blog.

In my previous article I discussed about adding links to menubar, Now lets learn about how to apply new themes for your wordpress blog.

There are two ways to get this done.

  1. We can use a Site builder like Elementor or,
  2. We can use prebuilt custom free themes like Hestia which I use in my WordPress blog coding-magnified.

In our article we are gonna discuss the custom theme way.

Ok first go to your WordPress dashboard and hover over appearance tab and click on themes like below,

chrome-capture (5)

After that You can either use your available default themes which will be available when ever you create a wordpress website with a web hosting company or you can add a new free theme like below,
chrome-capture (6)

After that search the theme in the search like how I do below,

chrome-capture (7)

Then click install and activate your plugin.

Your sites default theme will be changed to the theme you have installed and activated now.

And that’s how you add a new theme for your WordPress blog.

My personal experience:

The custom theme may suffice for now. But if you want to ramp up your WordPress blog’s design you have to either purchase a premium theme or get a website builder like Elementor for designing your website.

In my next article I will discuss about how to customize your free theme in your WordPress dashboard.
